NFA: National Fostering Agency

NFA for foster carers

Good foster care provides a safe, secure and nurturing family environment, and allows children to stay in contact with their own families if appropriate.

After the great success of the first carer roadshows held nationally, we are very pleased to announce further dates for future road shows.

How can I become a carer

Many people can be a foster carer:

  • You may be married, co-habiting, single or divorced
  • Couples will need to arrange their working hours so that one carer can be available full time
  • Single carers will need to be at home full-time, or have flexible, part-time employment
  • You may be a home owner or a tenant

We welcome applications from all ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds

What's involved?

As a foster carer you need to be available full time, and have:
